About Essential Oils

We share the theory that ultimately, everything we residents of this amazing planet need for healing comes from what grows under our feet. And towers, ancient and wise, above our heads. Essential oils are extracted from the leaves, flowers, branches, bark, seeds and roots of special plants. By several methodsmostly steam distillation--these oils are coaxed into the purest, most concentrated liquid. The essences of these healing plants are carefully bottled and left to people such as aromatherapists to use them alone or in special blends, with or without other natural substances. Once they are inhaled or absorbed through our skin, they trigger our bodily systems into healing modes.

The oils come from all corners of the world; both time and science have demonstrated their effectiveness for a host of conditions. Each plant part produces different amounts of essential oil. For example, it requires about four thousand pounds of Bulgarian Rose petals to make one pound of oil. Citrus oils are among the less expensive oils. So, essential oils do vary widely in price. In time, youll get to know the characteristics of a quality oil. Meanwhile, inhale the experiencedown to your toes!

Essential oils are not just another pretty scent. While ethereal vapours sail into our nose, through our olfactory bulb, and into the limbic system of our brain, we enjoy a pleasant sojourn in their unique, honest scents. Meanwhile, we reap the healthful benefits of their powerful properties. Not a bad alternative when it comes to promoting wellness.
